German company HRV GmbH was founded in 1994 to offer a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution for the disposal of scrap tyres of all sizes and shapes. In 2011, the family business was handed over to the second generation, leaving Sascha Kühnel and Jan Schenkel to continue running HRV GmbH today. The 50 strong team at HRV deal with any size of tyres they collect.
HRV GmbH shreds around 15,000 tons of tyres to customer specifications every year. It has set itself the goal of recycling as much of the waste produced as possible.

UTT, CARIRI in Partner to Recycle Trinidad and Tobago Tyres
The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) has entered a partnership with the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI), which focuses on the recycling of waste tyres. The agreement was signed at the UTT Chaguanas campus where the newly formed Rubber Crumb Project was agreed upon by both institutions.
